Moorefield
Township is a rapidly growing area north of Springfield. Township
offices, in a 100 year old storefront and two inadequate fire
houses were consolidated into this new efficient facility. The
building itself is designed to be a focal point and Township center
due to its location, tower and masonry features. Brick was also
selected to blend into the masonry brick residential community.
Anticipated growth will position it in the center as development
is realized to the north and east.
The
building is 12,300 square feet which includes a mezzanine. Costing
approximately $1,000,000. The new facility contains Township offices,
a large meeting room, various fire and EMS support rooms, and
10 Township, Fire and EMS vehicles in 6 bays. The building also
includes a special CO2 exhaust system. Construction was completed
in May, 2000.
